A handful of candy

Every morning I give my kids a handful of candy…

I used to spend almost 50.00 on vitamins every month when I was buying the artificial colour/flavour and preservative free vitamins from the grocery store. But just a heads up, these huge bottles are each around 10 or 11 dollars at Costco. For me just these vitamins make the membership pay off.
This is the first winter since children entered our house we have been major illness free. Also the first winter my children have consistently taken vitamin D! Just saying…

And did you know that you can buy gummy vitamins for adults?! First time I’ve ever consistently taken a vitamin myself!! 🙂

As I was typing this I knew I was jinxing myself. Juno had a nap today (which was a miracle) and when she woke up it was with a very stuffy nose and mild fever. 🙁 Knew we wouldn’t escape this winter completely unscathed…vitamin D or not!

Yeah…our kids take ‘Juice Plus’ gummies, Vitamin C & vitamin D drops and we are rarely sick either, with the exception of the odd cold (but then that’s not necessarily a bad thing to build up an immunity). I just told someone a week ago Sunday though that my kids have never been sick to their stomachs. Talk about ‘jinxing’ (not that I really believe in that :))…but…this week…well, let’s just say, that’s not true anymore!!:( NOT fun!!!
