must be dreaming

Justus has a tendency to grind his teeth, especially when he’s had artificial colours of flavours… it comes out for him in nightmares and teeth grinding. (me too actually!)

Well of course last night was halloween, so he was full of all kinds of junk when he went to bed. He had been grinding away his teeth on and off for a couple hours when around midnight I finally dragged myself out of bed to wake him up to stop him. It sounded like he was eating his teeth, it was so loud and crunchy sounding. Just awful!

When I went in his room I found him sitting up in bed chewing something with his eyes open. He had left a candy ring beside his bed to save for the next day (lovely. eh? thankfully halloween is but once a year!), so I assumed that’s what he was eating. I asked him, “Justus, what are you eating?!” But he just looked at me and kept chewing.  So I asked again and still no response.

We just sat there for a minute looking at each other when he slowly spat out what he was eating into his hand.  We both just looked at it….

I think that was when he finally really woke up!  He looked really shocked and said somewhat sheepishly, “I was dreaming I was eating”.  No kidding kid!  🙂

Still have no idea where or how he found that shell in his sleep!  What an awful sound!!!

ohhh maaaan!! If he keeps that up he’ll have summer teeth!(summer here some are there) reminds me of those shows where people sleep walk and eat. Gabe is a big sleep walker…caught him the other night opening the kitchen garbage to go pee. eeeek!

Living in with a family that grinds their teeth is bad enough, but this one took the cake. That sound last night almost made me barf. Poor kid. I’m glad it didn’t break!

That is really quite funny! I’ve had full conversations with Carly while she has been fast asleep, sitting up with her eyes open. Freaky what you can do while asleep!
