Letters – day eight

Dear Jon, remember this picture? Rusty was sick and we weren’t allowing him to eat because it just kept making him more sick. But then you fell asleep and he found the cheerios and just went for it. I was feeling a little like that tonight when out of the blue a dear friend showed up with dinner and a tea for me. Dear Jamie, I’m sorry for randomly bursting into tears. It’s been a rough day and your thoughtfulness just tipped me right over the edge. But thank you. SO much. Dear Sun, NOT COOL. Dear Stomach Bug, even more not cool. Dear Husband, there literally ain’t no sunshine when your gone. Tonight at bedtime when I told Rusty that I might even miss your stinky stink he did the chipmunk laugh until he cried. Then he asked me if I’d say that again in the morning, because he was too tired to keep laughing now.
You are loved.

Christa, are you okay? Is there anything you need?

Hey you! Sorry to hear you had a rough day… do you guys really have a flu bug? If so, I’m so sorry, that really sucks.

Well I’ll be thinking of you and I hope that tomorrow is better!

I think the kids had it earlier in the week, just not the pain I had with it. But this morning I’m feeling pretty good, and very thankful for that!

I thought all night about coming to see you!!! So I’m so glad someone really did, and it sounds like it was just what you needed.

I have so say… I’m looking forward to another Thai/Catan night in our near-ish future. It can be our Christmas gift to each other 🙂

haha, you’ll be glad you didn’t! Poor Jamie surprised me and found me in sweats, with crazy hair, no make-up, with a stinky, messy house and then I promptly burst into tears because I was so hungry and she brought me food! Not the reception I’m sure she was expecting! She didn’t even know I had been sick. So sweet.

Totally looking forward to our next Thai/Catan night, we’ll see if we can unseat you as reigning Catan queen. 🙂
