The funniest gift for Juno… Rupunzel hair! She LOVES it!

Rusty woke up with the flu Christmas morning, and suffered all day, poor little man. It was a quiet and subdued kind of day, although we did get to have a lovely visit with my family in the afternoon. It was fun to share our new place with them.

I’ve had a round with this flu, and last night Juno came down with it too. All the illness and lack of snow and the move right before has made for a very unfestive feeling this holiday season! Although I can’t complain about having nice clear roads for getting used to our commute. I’ve finally succeeded in finding our house in the dark, for the first week I kept driving right by it!

And now even though I said no more grainy iPhone pictures, but because this question is plaguing me… what colour/kind of rug do I put in this room? Juno’s bedroom one is acting as a place holder at the moment, but she’s going to be needing it back. My dream would be a blue and red oriental rug, but I just can’t put that kind of money into a rug. So… what colour/style should I go for instead? The whole house is cream and the furniture is either white or dark brown/black. Jon kind of likes the plainness of it, but I would kind of like to add some colour/warmth to the mix! Would love any ideas! (The pillows/blankets and all that are just a mix of whatever we had in the old place.)

Hope you all have a wonderful New Years!! I’m going to work on updating last years resolution list next! 🙂

Love the Rapunzel hair!!! Since rugs are so expensive, you can get a end piece of carpet and have it bound for a fraction of the price… with the added bonus of choosing the perfect size for your space. I personally would put something with a bit of colour there, like you said to warm it all up, but there are so many colours and styles of carpet, you just can’t go wrong! That’s what our family room rug is and I’m so happy that I didn’t pay so much for it that I’m married to it! 🙂

I was kind of leaning that way too… especially knowing what a huge rug you got for the price!
